We’re excited to announce the first of three new SCN Challenge programs available to members and Summit attendees. If you attended our Spring Summit in North Carolina, you are likely familiar with SCN Sponsor EcoMap and the amazing work they’ve done with Black Butterfly Network and other ecosystems.

About the Challenge

The Map What Matters Challenge uses the process and paradigm EcoMap has developed over mapping dozens of ecosystems. To enter this challenge, an organization will use an abridged version of EcoMap’s paradigm to map out 30 key resources in their ecosystem along with the organizations that provide them.

The challenge is only open to SCN Members and attendees of the Spring Summit in North Carolina. The deadline for the Map What Matters challenge is Tuesday, May 31st at 11:59 pm

Challenge Reward

  • One organization that completes the Map What Matters Challenge by the deadline will receive an EcoMap Starter platform with the implementation fee and first year subscription cost 100% waived.

  • Any organization that participates and completes the challenge by the deadline will receive 25% off the platform implementation fee. And guess what? This discount will never expire. By participating in this challenge, you will have a lifetime discount for the platform implementation fee and your 25% off will waiting for you to use whenever you feel ready.

  • EcoMap Starter’s implementation free is $15,000 w/ a subscription cost of $5,000. This means that the winner of the challenge will be able to have $20,000 completely waived, and the remaining challenge participants are able to shave $3,750 from their implementation fee!

Challenge Info Session: May 11

On May 11th from 12:00 - 12:15pm ET, an interactive Zoom session will be held where Kevin, EcoMap’s Head of Business Development will give a breakdown of the challenge and the framework used to identify & classify the various parts of an ecosystem. Register here.

Mapping an entrepreneurial ecosystem is a critical first step to answering the question of “Who is doing what?” to support entrepreneurs. You have to understand the scope of organizations out there and the resources they’re providing in order to offer tailored support to those who can most benefit from them. Our goal for the Map What Matters Challenge is for it to demystify this process and make it easier for ecosystem builders to take that critical first step.
— Kevin Carter, Head of Business Development, EcoMap

About EcoMap

EcoMap is the first platform built specifically to meet the needs of all ecosystems at all stages of development. EcoMap creates data-driven platforms that help people navigate, understand, and engage with the unique communities around them, from entrepreneurial communities, industry groups, corporate networks, and beyond.

EcoMap’s proprietary automated tech enables them to quickly aggregate information about who is doing what within a given ecosystem - including resources, businesses, and people - and keep that data perpetually updated, enabling their platforms to be real-time reflections of what's going on in any community, industry, or network.

Nearly two dozen enterprise customers, spanning local organizations to Meta (previously Facebook), use EcoMap’s subscription platforms to help understand, navigate, and promote their ecosystems at scale.
